Here is a little more information.

Boeing Delta II Launch Cost: $100.0 million USD
Mars Rover type vehicle: $322.5 million USD each.
Mission Ops: $75.0 million

Google X Prize: Reduce Planet/Moon Exploration cost by 94% and you\'ll break even and start a lucrative business in the process.

Once again...Good Luck.

We\'ve put a robot on Mars and crashed a robot into the Saturn atmosphere, so what is the problem.

All you need is a PO for a rocket and rover from Boeing or Lockheed. Also a flight systems crew for a week or two.

Of course the PO needs to be funded privately and less than $30 million to make a little money in the process. If you can make a compelling business plan I\'m sure a VC would be willing to front the money for bragging rights and a small return on their money.

Its a business issue (i.e. how to make the wheel cost effectively) not a technical issue (i.e. inventing the wheel).
